How Social Media Helps Your Business Show Up in Local Search in Winter Haven, Florida

For many local businesses, getting found online is one of the most important parts of attracting new customers. When someone searches for a service near them—whether it’s a roofer, plumber, restaurant, or realtor—they usually turn to search engines and local listings first. But what many business owners don’t realize is that social media can play a powerful role in helping your business show up in local search results.

At Newton Peach Marketing, we work with businesses throughout Winter Haven and across Polk County to build stronger online visibility through smart social media strategies. While social media may seem separate from search engine optimization (SEO), the two actually work hand in hand to help customers find you online.

Let’s take a look at how social media can help your business appear more often in local searches and attract more potential customers.

Social Media Increases Your Online Presence

Search engines look at the overall online presence of a business when deciding what to show in search results. The more places your business appears online, the more signals search engines receive that your company is active and legitimate.

When your business maintains active profiles on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, it creates additional digital footprints for your brand. These profiles often appear directly in search results when someone looks up your business name or related services.

For example, if someone searches for a local contractor or restaurant in Winter Haven, they may see not only the business website but also their Facebook page or Instagram profile. Each of these listings creates another opportunity for potential customers to discover your business.

Social Media Drives Traffic to Your Website

One of the biggest ways social media supports local search rankings is by driving traffic to your website. When people click on links from your social media posts and visit your website, search engines recognize that your content is attracting interest.

This kind of traffic signals that your website is relevant and valuable to users. Over time, this can help strengthen your website’s authority and improve its chances of appearing in local search results.

For example, if a local business regularly shares blog posts, service updates, or helpful tips on social media, those posts can lead followers directly to the company’s website. The more engagement and traffic your website receives, the stronger your overall online presence becomes.

Social Media Builds Local Brand Awareness

Another major benefit of social media is its ability to build brand recognition in your local community. When people frequently see your business posts in their feeds, they become more familiar with your name and services.

This matters because many customers will search directly for businesses they recognize. If someone has seen your posts multiple times on Facebook or Instagram, they are much more likely to search for your company by name later.

When search engines notice that people are searching specifically for your business, it strengthens your brand authority and improves the likelihood that your business will appear in relevant search results.

Social Media Helps Generate Reviews and Engagement

Customer engagement is another factor that can influence your online visibility. Social media gives customers an easy way to interact with your business through likes, comments, shares, and messages.

These interactions show that your business is active and engaging with the community. Social media can also encourage satisfied customers to leave reviews or share their experiences online.

Reviews are especially important on platforms like Google Maps, where local search results often rely heavily on customer ratings and feedback. When social media helps drive more satisfied customers to leave reviews, it can strengthen your business’s local search presence.

Social Media Content Supports Your Local SEO Strategy

Social media also gives you the opportunity to create content that highlights your connection to the local community. Posts about local projects, events, partnerships, and customers can all reinforce your geographic relevance.

For example, businesses can share:

  • Photos from local jobs or projects

  • Community events or sponsorships

  • Customer success stories

  • Local tips or insights

When your content regularly references your location and community, it helps establish your business as a trusted local provider.

At Newton Peach Marketing, we often encourage businesses to incorporate local references in their posts because it strengthens both social media engagement and local search visibility.

Consistency Is the Key to Results

While social media can significantly support local search rankings, it’s important to remember that consistency matters. Businesses that post regularly and maintain active profiles tend to see the best results over time.

Consistent posting keeps your business visible to followers, encourages engagement, and continually sends positive signals to search engines. Even simple updates—such as sharing photos, helpful tips, or recent projects—can help keep your business top of mind for potential customers.

Let the Experts Handle Your Social Media

Managing social media the right way takes time, strategy, and consistency—something many business owners simply don’t have while running their day-to-day operations. That’s where Newton Peach Marketing comes in. We specialize in helping local businesses throughout Winter Haven and Polk County build a strong online presence with professional, engaging social media content that attracts real customers. Instead of worrying about what to post or when to post it, you can focus on running your business while our team handles your strategy, content creation, and consistency. If you want your business to stand out online and show up where local customers are searching, partnering with a team that understands the local market can make all the difference.

Fall in Love With Your Digital Marketing Again This Valentine’s Day

February is the season of love—sweet gestures, meaningful connections, and a reminder to appreciate the relationships that truly support us. But let’s pause for a moment and ask an important question: when was the last time you loved your digital marketing?

If managing your social media feels more exhausting than exciting, you’re not alone. Many business owners in Winter Haven and throughout Central Florida start out energized about marketing online, only to feel overwhelmed, inconsistent, or disappointed with the results. This Valentine’s Day, it might be time to rekindle that spark—and fall back in love with your digital marketing again.

At Newton Peach Marketing, founder Heather Kloth—known by many in the community simply as “Peach”—believes your marketing should feel supportive, intentional, and aligned with your business, not stressful or forced.

When the Honeymoon Phase Fades

Like most relationships, digital marketing often starts strong. You’re posting consistently, trying new ideas, and watching engagement trickle in. But over time, reality sets in.

You get busy running your business.
Algorithms change.
Engagement slows.
Posting feels repetitive or rushed.

Before you know it, social media becomes just another item on the to-do list. Many business owners start wondering if it’s even worth the effort.

Heather sees this all the time. As a local social media marketer working closely with small businesses, she understands that burnout doesn’t mean marketing doesn’t work—it usually means the strategy (or support) isn’t right.

What Falling Back in Love With Marketing Really Looks Like

Falling back in love with your digital marketing doesn’t mean chasing every trend or posting every day just to stay visible. It means building a strategy that works for you and supports your goals.

Healthy digital marketing should:

  • Reflect your brand clearly and consistently

  • Feel authentic to your voice and values

  • Connect with the right audience—not just more followers

  • Build trust over time

  • Support real business growth

When marketing is done well, it doesn’t feel overwhelming. It feels purposeful. It tells your story even when you’re busy doing what you do best.

That’s the kind of relationship worth committing to.

Why Your Social Media Marketer Matters

Just like any good partnership, communication and understanding are everything.

A great social media marketer doesn’t just post content and disappear. They take time to learn your business, your audience, and your goals. They listen. They adapt. They care.

Heather Kloth built Newton Peach Marketing on the belief that marketing should feel personal. Working with businesses in and around Winter Haven, she understands the importance of community, reputation, and showing up consistently in a way that feels genuine.

Your marketer shouldn’t feel like a stranger—you should feel confident that they understand your brand and have your best interests in mind.

Signs It Might Be Time for a Fresh Start

If your current digital marketing situation feels a little… uninspired, you’re not alone. Some common signs it’s time to reset include:

  • Inconsistent or outdated social media content

  • Posts that don’t sound like you

  • Low engagement or limited reach

  • Feeling unsure what to post—or why

  • Dreading social media altogether

Marketing shouldn’t feel like a bad relationship you’re stuck in. It should feel supportive, clear, and productive.

A Valentine’s Day Reset for Your Brand

Valentine’s Day is the perfect reminder to check in—not just with people, but with the systems supporting your business.

Ask yourself:

  • Does my social media reflect where my business is today?

  • Am I proud to send customers to my pages?

  • Is my message clear and consistent?

  • Do I feel confident in my online presence?

If the answer is “not quite,” that’s okay. With the right guidance and strategy, digital marketing can feel exciting again.

Why Businesses Choose Newton Peach Marketing

Newton Peach Marketing helps businesses reconnect with their marketing by simplifying the process and creating strategies that make sense.

Heather’s approach focuses on:

  • Clear, human messaging

  • Consistent branding across platforms

  • Content that builds trust and connection

  • Strategies tailored to your goals and budget

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach—because no two businesses are the same. Your social media should reflect you, your community, and the customers you want to reach.

Love Your Marketing. Love Your Results.

This Valentine’s Day, don’t settle for marketing that feels frustrating or disconnected. You deserve a digital presence that works for your business and represents you well.

When you fall back in love with your digital marketing—and with the person guiding it—you show up with confidence. And when that happens, your audience feels it too.

If you’re ready to reconnect with your brand and build a marketing relationship that actually works, Newton Peach Marketing—and Heather, aka Peach—are here to help.

Kickstart Your Business in the New Year with a Strong Digital Marketing Plan from Newton Peach Marketing

Happy New Year from all of us at Newton Peach Marketing! A new year is the perfect time to reset goals, refocus your strategy, and make intentional moves to grow your business. If your marketing felt inconsistent last year or you know your online presence could be stronger, now is the time to put a clear digital marketing plan in place.

Digital marketing works best when everything is connected and purposeful. Starting fresh in the New Year gives you the momentum to build strategies that support long-term growth instead of short-term fixes. From blogging and social media to website updates and Google management, each piece plays an important role in how your business is seen and found online.

One of the most effective ways to kickstart your digital marketing is through consistent blogging. Blogging helps your business show up in search results, answer real questions your customers are already asking, and position you as a trusted authority in your industry. Each blog post becomes a long-term asset that lives on your website and continues working for you long after it’s published.

A strong blog strategy also fuels the rest of your marketing. Blog content can be repurposed into social media posts, email topics, and updates that reinforce your messaging across platforms. Blogging isn’t about filling space on your website; it’s about telling your story, highlighting your expertise, and making it easy for potential customers to find you when they’re searching for services like yours.

Social media is another essential part of starting the year strong. Social platforms are where people connect, learn about businesses, and decide who they want to work with. Posting randomly or only when you remember won’t create momentum. A clear social media plan helps you stay consistent, recognizable, and relevant to your audience.

Effective social media focuses on more than just promotions. It’s about sharing helpful information, behind-the-scenes moments, client highlights, and content that shows the personality behind your brand. When your social media reflects who you are and what you stand for, it builds trust and keeps your business top of mind.

Your website also deserves attention at the start of the year. Think of your website as your digital storefront. If it looks outdated, loads slowly, or feels confusing to navigate, potential customers may leave before they ever contact you. Website upgrades don’t always mean a full redesign. Sometimes small improvements like updated messaging, clearer calls to action, fresh visuals, and better mobile performance can make a big difference.

An updated website helps convert visitors into leads by making it easy for them to understand what you do and how to take the next step. It also supports your blogging and social media efforts by giving people a professional, reliable place to land when they click through.

Another key part of your digital marketing plan is Google management. When people search for businesses like yours, Google is often their first stop. Managing your Google presence includes keeping your business information accurate, posting updates, sharing photos, and encouraging customer reviews. A strong Google profile helps your business show up in local searches and builds credibility with potential customers before they ever visit your website.

When all of these pieces work together, your marketing becomes more effective and easier to manage. Blogging drives traffic, social media builds relationships, your website converts visitors, and Google management helps new customers find you at the right time.

At Newton Peach Marketing, we help businesses bring all of these elements together into one clear, customized strategy. If you’re ready to make this the year your digital marketing finally works for you, we’re here to help. Here’s to growth, consistency, and meaningful connections in the New Year.

The Do’s and Don’ts of Social Media Advertising: Let’s Talk

Social media ads can be amazing for growing your business! They can get your brand in front of a big audience, lead to new customers, and bring about fun engagement online. However, many people don’t know how to correctly run ads on social media platforms. You can’t just throw money at Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok and hope for the best. There are some big mistakes people make, and also some smart decisions that can help. In this blog, we’re going to talk about the “do’s” and “don’ts” of social media advertising!

DO Know Your Audience

Before you run any ad, ask yourself who’s actually going to see it? Your ad should feel like it’s targeted specifically for your customers. Think about who your audience is; are they the young/ old, teenagers/ parents, in school, etc. Create content that reaches them!

DON’T Boost Every Post

We all know how tempting it is to spend a couple of extra bucks and hit that “Boost Post” button on our social media problems. The problem is, boosting a post without a strategy usually just wastes money. Instead, think about how to run ads through the full ad manager, where you can target specific people, set real goals, and track your page’s performance!

 DO Use Creative Visuals

In the world of TikTok today, people scroll FAST. If your ad doesn’t stand out in the first couple of seconds, then your audience is already gone. Try using bright colors, bold fonts, and funny short videos to grab attention; this will work way better than a boring stock photo. Also, remember, putting out content that is true to your brand (like behind-the-scenes photos or customer testimonials) is way better than a perfectly crafted post.

DON’T Write a Whole Book as Your Caption

Nobody, including me, wants to read a wall of text while scrolling! To keep the attention of your audience, make your captions short, clear, and straight to what you want to say. A hook in the first line works wayyy better than three paragraphs of nothing.

DO Run Tests

One of the best things about social media ads is that you can experiment! For example, try out different images, headlines, and audiences. I recently started learning about CapCut to see how I can integrate that platform into Instagram and TikTok. Remember, sometimes the ad you think is going to go viral absolutely flops, while the one you almost didn’t post performs way better.

DON’T Ignore the Data

One of the biggest mistakes you can make today is running ads blindly without checking the data and results. Platforms like Facebook Ads Manager or TikTok Ads give you tons of data, so you can see the click-through rates, conversions, and cost per click. Utilize this tool; it is so important to see who you’re reaching! If something isn’t working, then you can go back, tweak it, and repost it again.

DO Work Within Your Budget

Social media ads don’t have to be expensive to be successful, but they can add up super fast if you’re not paying attention, or just randomly hitting that “Boost Post” button. To make sure you’re staying within your budget, set a daily or weekly budget and then check in often to make sure your money’s being spent the way you want.

At Newton Peach Marketing, we’re here to make sure your social media advertising doesn’t feel overwhelming. If you’re too focused on your business, leave the social media side to us! We focus on knowing your audience, creating attention-grabbing content, testing what works, and learning from the data. We’re the creative marketing that keeps your company growing!

Reflections and Resolutions: Learning from Business Lessons in 2024 and Crafting a Vision for 2025

With Christmas right around the corner, now is the time we like to look back and reflect on our business over the past year and craft a vision for the year ahead. This year at Newton Peach Marketing was filled with surprises, challenges, and new opportunities, and we learned many different lessons along the way. In this blog, we wanted to share with you the reflections we made from this past year, as well as how we are going to craft a vision board for our business in the upcoming new year!

2024 In Retrospect:

Adaptability is Non-Negotiable

As the social media landscape changes at lightning speed, we know we must be at the top of our game to keep up with new trends and make sure our clients are getting optimized content. From new platform algorithms to emerging trends like short-from video popularity, staying flexible and constantly learning is one of our business’s greatest strengths! Adaptability is a core value at Newton Peach Marketing, and we are dedicated to evolving with the ever-changing social media landscape.

Authenticity Remains Key

It became increasingly evident in 2024 that audiences on social media platforms value transparency and honesty from businesses. At Newton Peach Marketing, we know that genuine interactions are “worth” way more in the social media landscape than overly polished content. Audiences value content they can connect with, as well as content that embraces true authenticity, which results in building trust and loyalty!

Data-Driven Decisions Are Critical

In order to make sure our clients’ content reaches the largest audience possible, we make sure to create all content based on data we gather from Google, Facebook, and Instagram. We look at how many people each post reaches, as well as engagement metrics such as likes, comments, shares, and click rates. This data-driven approach ensures that every piece of content we create is individually tailored to each of our client's businesses, and has been a great tool to utilize this past year.

Looking Ahead to 2025: Crafting a Vision

Building a Larger Community

One of our biggest goals for 2025 is to partner with and work for more locally-owned businesses in Polk County and beyond. We are always constantly looking to expand our business and help more clients grow and succeed in their endeavors. Newton Peach Marketing is all about supporting the mom-and-pop stores that form the backbone of our community! By working with these businesses, we commit to creating a stronger and thriving local economy.

Adding Additional Services

In the upcoming year, we are excited to announce that we will be expanding our services to include eNewsletters and blogging, as well as prioritizing Google optimization! These new services will greatly increase our client’s online visibility and will drive more meaningful engagement in their businesses. Together, these new additions will let our clients connect with their audience in a more personal way, get their businesses noticed online, and boost overall engagement.

Participate in Vendor Fairs

Another of our goals in 2025 is to help out our clients more in vendor fairs. As many of our clients participate in local markets and vendor fairs, we want to make these events as successful as possible for them. We plan to do this by creating content to promote the vendor fairs and designing marketing materials that clients can set up in their booths. Vendor fairs are a great way for small businesses to connect with our community, and we want to make sure our clients get the most out of these opportunities!

As 2024 comes to an end, all of us at Newton Peach Marketing want to say thank you to our clients for believing in our commitment to growing your business. We are so excited to work with each and every one of you in the new year! Merry Christmas!

Mom-Approved Ideas for Celebrating Mother's Day

  • Mother's Day is just a few days away! Are you ready? While flowers, gifts, and breakfast in bed, what if there was a way to celebrate Mom all year long? Newton Peach Marketing supports mothers and truly believes they are superheros for what they take on each day. Making mom feel special for a day is fun for celebrating, but finding ways to surprise her with helping hands and items taken off her to-do list is the ultimate love letter. After all, have you ever seen how LONG it is?? We have some tips to get you started, but be sure to brainstorm ideas for your own wife, mom, grandmother, or other important lady in your life. She's sure to appreciate it!

Some simple ways to support Mom and show her how much you love her every day include:

  • Take over dish duty. If mom usually ends up in front of the sink or dishwasher each night, make sure you're there before she is! Taking this simple chore off her list gives her a few extra minutes in her evening. Maybe she'll finally have time to pick up that book she's been putting off, or enjoying 5 more minutes of quiet on the back patio before dark.

  • Clean her car. A clean care takes time and energy, and those are two things Mom usually doesn't have at the end of the day. Give her car a glow up, with an interior detail, and a good wash and wax. You can pay a professional and surprise her, or grab your rags, the hose, and the vacuum and do it yourself.

  • Plan a meal (or more) each week. Taking just one night off Mom's plate each week is a great way to show your love. Planning, shopping for, and preparing dinner on a busy weeknight can relieve stress, or give her a relaxing weekend and take over dinner on Saturday or Sunday night. She's sure to appreciate a tasty meal that she didn't have to make.

We hope this helps you get a head start on your own list for Mom this coming year. While you're busy taking care of mom's to-do list, we're busy taking care of YOURS as a business owner. Newton Peach Marketing handles all of your online marketing needs, with a special focus on social media and content creation. We make sure your potential clients and customers see all the best parts of your business and your brand, and you see the increase in profits because of that exposure. Let us help you grow your business, build your brand, and find bigger success in the year ahead!

Happy Mother's Day to moms everywhere!

NPM: Trying to Be The da Vinci of Your Social Media Needs

The Italian genius Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519) had an extraordinary mind that canvassed a multitude of disciplines. Walter Isaacson, in his New York Times best seller about his life, wrote about his vast accomplishments in mathematics, art, engineering, anatomy, and zoology (to name a few). One thing that made da Vinci such a great artesian was his attention to detail. It is this fact about da Vinci that we at NPM find commonality.

One great example of da Vinci’s attention to detail was found in his painting “Virgin of the Rocks”  (pictured above). Leonardo chose to use volcanic rock and sandstone which he was familiar with because of his studies of geology. While his artist rendition of these formations are impressive, what demonstrates his attention to detail is that he paints climate and geologically appropriate plants in his painting. As Isaacson wrote, “The plants in the picture are located, as they would be in nature, only in the sandstone regions that have weathered sufficiently to permit roots to take hold, both at the top and the floor of the grotto, but not in the hard igneous rocks. The species chosen are botanically and seasonally correct: he depicted only those that would be found in a moist grotto at the same time of year.” Leonardo’s attention to detail is as impressive today as it was 500 years ago.

The attention to detail is what separated Leonardo from other artists and this is what separates NPM from other marketing companies. Unlike big box marketing firms that are in other states or even other countries that use algorithms to generate generic social media posts, NPM is dedicated to knowing the particular details of your business to create unique social media posts that demonstrates knowledge of your company and your clientele. Whether it is a staffing change, the birthday of your owner, a change in location, or a new product that you want to unveil, NPM attention to detail helps get the word out to strengthen your relationship with your community. NPM never generates generic material for your company but pays attention to the small details which helps you stand out from your competitors. Computer algorithms generate generic posts; NPM attention to detail creates localized, community-oriented, attention to detail posts for your business. Let us be your da Vinci for all your social media marketing needs.

Green and Growing: What Newton Peach Marketing Does for Winter Haven Businesses

Spring is here, and many of us are thinking of things green and growing. However, while you are picturing flowering plants and colorful blooms in pots or as part of beautiful landscapes, we are picturing businesses, and the clients we represent. For Newton Peach, green and growing is what we set up as a primary goal for each customer that comes to us requesting assistance with a website, creative solutions for their social media accounts, or even an eye catching piece of print in the form of business cards or flyers for local events. How though, do the words "green" and "growing" tie in to these things?

Well, "green" refers to what we want to see in YOUR hands in the form of increased profits for your business. We aim to bring in more customers for you by targeting your audience in direct ways, and getting your name in front of the very people that need your product or service. We build your online "presence" and brand and over time, this gives people a sense of knowing you and feeling confident in choosing you for their needs. So, while green plants and blossoming flowers are beautiful, the green we want will show up in your wallet.

"Growing" is our main task when it comes to your business. Growing in size, growing in influence, and growing in efficiency and profits (as mentioned above) are just a few of the things we strive to help you do, and by utilizing the techniques mentioned above, and many more, we have seen this happen for businesses throughout the greater Winter Haven area. Clients all over Polk County have let us step in and walk alongside them as they make their mark in our area, and with each one, we are reminded of how much we love cultivating growth, much like gardeners and farmers enjoy the dirt on their hands and the joy that comes with harvesting fresh fruit, vegetables, and flowers throughout the year.

Do you feel like your business is thriving? If not, it might be time for some fresh perspective! Newton Peach Marketing is ready and waiting to help you grow this year. Take that step forward and give us a call!

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year...for Bloggers

pants-1255847_640.jpg

Blogging is a huge part of the marketing world, and really, for the world in general with today's technology and social media involvement. Whether you utilize a traditional "diary" style blog to document your own personal life, have a sponsored blog with lots of paid content, or choose the more tech-savvy video blog, known as a "vlog,” producing content that your followers want to read and/or see is key in building an audience and creating your brand. This is true for businesses even more so than individuals, since an audience leads to customers, and increased customer base means more profit for you over time.

When it comes to blogging, coming up with relevant content that is creative enough to capture the attention of internet-goers can be hard. That is, until the holiday season rolls around. From October, with its bursts of pumpkins and Fall and Halloween fun, to Thanksgiving in November, and well into Christmas and New Years, coming up with trendy content that ties in with your business and your market becomes much easier when you have the plentiful topics surrounding these holidays and seasons. There are a few important things to keep in mind when using holiday and seasonal topics for your blog...

  • Remember your keywords! Search online, and you'll quickly be able to come up with a list of popular keywords (and hashtags) that tie in with various holidays and seasons. Tying these into your blog posts and social media content is a great way to make sure your content is found during searches.

  • Make it relevant. Anyone can write a post about safety tips for Halloween, or how to pick the perfect gift for your loved one at Christmas, but you don't want to be just anyone. Knowing how to spin these topics into a post that also weaves your business and your goods/services into the content is vital in making your blog appear professional and unique. So, for example, a local orthodontist could write about the safest candies for braces-wearers, or a local retail store could offer insight into the 5 hottest items flying off their shelves around Christmas and why they'd be perfect for your family. Knowing how to put these pieces together and form them into a marketing work of art is a huge part of becoming a "blogger" on a higher level.

  • A catchy title matters! The title is essentially how your blog "puts its best foot forward" for readers. Something catchy and fun, or informative and full of relevant keywords, is a great way to pull in an audience and lure them into the rest of the content.

We know that blogging for your business can be intimidating, especially since your schedule is busy running the business itself. That's why Newton Peach Marketing offers blogging services. We customize content for each individual client, using the tricks above to make sure you are seen, your brand is developed, and potential customers connect with you. Whether you're simply looking for routine blogging services, or a full-scale marketing plan to include your social media, printed materials, and more, Newton Peach Marketing is the #1 choice for small businesses. Call us and see how we can help you build a better brand.
